About Us

The Chicago Clay Co-Op founded in of 2025 by studio mates Jennifer Fitzgerald and Michael Bridges.

Initially, they planned to make a private studio, but they agreed that they would miss being in a group space. They began interviewing all of the potters they knew and noticed a pattern: every single person mentioned how much they valued community.

They set out to make just that: a community based studio to help share knowledge between both aspiring and experienced ceramicists.

Construction began in February and we welcomed our first members in May.

We are currently home to 35+ members, one 1987 hunk-of-the-month calendar, three studio dogs, and 7 houseplants.

We offer memberships, workshops, classes, birthday parties, and private events.
